Our Story: Rooted in Legacy. Reborn in Purpose. Reaching Toward Destiny.

Welcome to the story—that's still unfolding.
From a small storefront room to a multigenerational movement, the Churches of Deliverance began with a vision from God and the obedience of a servant—our founder, Bishop McKinley Green. In the 1970s, what started as a single prayer gathering birthed the Pentecostal House of Prayer of Deliverance and ignited a flame of holiness, healing, and hope that would spread across cities and generations.
Our story is one of God-centered foundations and prophetic power—a testimony of building people, restoring leaders, and advancing God's kingdom through unwavering faith, disciplined worship, and relentless love. We are not just a church. We are a spiritual family, a global voice, and a kingdom catalyst.
Now under the leadership of Bishop-Designate Tonya S. Holloway, COD is walking boldly into the future through the RESTART movement—a divine reset marked by reformation, revival, and renewed vision. From pulpit to pavement, we are rebuilding what was broken, releasing a new sound in the earth, and reforming lives through biblical truth and Spirit-filled leadership.
